Tabernacle Family Ministries in Riverdale will be hosting a Back to School Bash on August 17th starting at 12 p.m. Participants will be able to participate in drawings for prizes, and pick up free school supplies. The event will also feature a slip-and-slide, water balloon war, and free food. Registration will be from 12-2 p.m. and prizes will be awarded at 3 p.m.
Last year, 275 backpacks were given out. Any community members or businesses who are interested in sponsoring the event are encouraged to reach out to Jessica Deidra at jessica_deidra@hotmail.com. The church looking for donations of school supplies to include with the backpacks or monetary donations to go towards the free event.
