Holly Jolly Christmas Parade

The annual Holly Jolly Christmas Parade will be held in Downtown Shepherd on November 30th starting at 6 p.m. Santa Claus will be making an appearance. He will ride in a float which will take him to the Shepherd Veteran’s Memorial Park where he will visit with kids until 8 p.m.

A Quiet Zone will be established between the School bus loop, up Chippewa Street, and then to Wright Avenue. For more information, check out the Village of Shepherd Facebook page.

Holiday Photo Event

The Alma Public Library will be hosting a free Holiday Photo event in partnership with AshLin Portraits of Alma on Saturday, November 19 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Families who attend will get a free, professional photo taken. The event will also feature a special appearance from Santa Claus.

Free Ice Skating Night

The Martin ICE Arena will be hosting a free ice skating night on Saturday, November 26 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Admission and skate rentals will be free for participants during this time. Those who donate non-perishable food will be eligible to win gift cards. The event is sponsored by the Mt. Pleasant Arbor of Gleaners.

Mt. Pleasant Christmas Celebration

On December 2 – 3, the City of Mount Pleasant will be hosting a Christmas Celebration. On Friday, December 2 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., events will include a Winter Market featuring specialty crafts and food vendors, Candy Cane Lane, Hayrides, and visits with Santa and his reindeer.

Saturday, December 3 will feature the Jingle All-The-Way Kids Fun Run, an adult 5K and a 5 Mile Run. Races begin at 7:50, 8:25, and 8:30 a.m., with proceeds benefiting Toys for Tots. There will also be a pancake breakfast with Santa from 9 a.m. – noon at the Sacred Heart Parish Hall. Admission is $10 for adults, and Children 10 and under are $5. At 6 p.m. there will be a lighted parade.
