The Shepherd Elementary School posted information about its upcoming Halloween parade, which will be held on Wednesday, October 31st. The parade will begin at 1:30 p.m.

  • Parade Route: The parade of costumed kids will begin on Hall Street south of the Elementary gym and move west to Fourth Street, then North on Fourth street, West on Wright Avenue, then down Second street, and then South on Maple Street. Then, the parade will continue east on Maple Street back towards the schools.
  • Inclement Weather: The parade will be cancelled if there is rain.
  • Costume Information:
    • Costume should be easy for students to put on and take off.
    • Clothing should be appropriate for the weather, as students will be walking through town in the parade
    • Students should wear comfortable shoes
    • No weapons, such as guns, knives, swords, etc.
    • Do not send students in their costumes or makeup
    • Makeup and face paint should not be a part of the costume due to time restraints
    • Costumes will only be worn in the afternoon for the parade and the classroom parties
  • Only parents that have been pre-identified to help with classroom festivities will be helping in the rooms or buildings during the parties.
